UPM Raflatac and Hansaprint relaunch NFC tag personalization portal

NFC and RFID tag supplier UPM Raflatac and printing group Hansaprint have relaunched TagAge, an online portal that enables customers to create and purchase customized NFC-enabled print products such as smart posters, tickets, labels and business cards.

“Many companies are developing new applications with NFC, both in business-to-business and business-to-consumer,” says UPM Raflatac’s Samuli Strömberg. “This is enabled by the TagAge offering of customised NFC tags, with variable layout, encoding and materials possibilities, also available in low volumes.”

“We believe we now have the structure and a fantastic start to harness the imagination of users within the NFC market,” added Hansaprint’s Jukka Saariluoma. “TagAge’s focus on small and medium volume customisation will help create new application opportunities and markets.”

As well as redesigning the portal, the companies have also added several new product types, including ‘Label-on-metal’, an NFC-enabled label for metal surfaces which is only slightly thicker than a standard label.
