Apple has also been granted design patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office for their iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 2G and wireless keyboard.

The emergence of the image on Patently Apple shows that whatever Apple decide to call their app — with e-Wallet, iWallet or ‘Transaction’ touted as possible titles — the placement of the icon does indicate the company continues to be serious about bringing electronic payments to the iPhone.
