OPTIMUS NET: Will come with NFC in some markets

LG Electronics has announced two new Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile phones, the LG Optimus Pro (LG-C660) and the LG Optimus Net (LG-P690) — and the Optimus Net will be available with NFC in some markets.

The LG Optimus Net features LG Social+, designed to make social networking easy by combining the most popular social portals in one homescreen widget, a 3.2 HVGA (320 x 480) display and LG SmartShare to enable easy connection and interoperation with DLNA-compatible devices. The phones will be available in black and white colour options from this summer, but specifications will vary market by market. “Depending on the carrier, some of the phones in Europe will be near field communication (NFC) capable for mobile payments,” says LG.
