Microsoft has demonstrated NFC capabilities in a Windows 8 device at the Build Windows event in California today.
Microsoft referred to the NFC functionality as ‘tap to share’, according to This Is My Next:
“Connectivity with phones wasn’t demonstrated on stage; instead, an NFC-enabled card was held against a prototype tablet with AT&T WWAN capability and NFC support, which transferred information (the URL to Build’s website in this case).”
