    Digitas opens next-gen retail showcase in Boston

    US ad agency Digitas has opened a mobile retail showcase in Boston to teach clients how to use mobile to attract and keep customers.

    Hands-on demonstrations of NFC and other technologies show companies how consumers use mobile devices in the real world to enhance their shopping experience.

    “Brands that rely on physical retail distribution are waking up to the fact that mobile is literally disappearing the difference between ecommerce and bricks-and-mortar,” says mobile practice lead Chia Chen. The opening of the mobile retail showcase, says Chen, means “clients can get ‘hands on’ with the technologies and learn about how they could be applied to solve real marketing challenges.”
