Krakow gallery tags exhibits

A visitor gets extra information via NFC at the National Museum in Krakow

Visitors to an art gallery at the National Museum in Krakow, Poland, can use NFC smartphones to access extra information about exhibits by touching nearby NFC tags.

Patrons can use their own NFC handsets or borrow a Nokia C7 for the duration of their visit to the museum’s 20th Century Polish Art Gallery. The phones can be used to read NFC tags positioned near art works, which will bring up photos, videos and artist details on the handset.

The project runs from now until the end of July.
