Panasonic unveils second NFC phone

Panasonic has announced a second Eluga smartphone with support for NFC.

Panasonic Eluga Power

The Eluga Power features a 5″ screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and superfast charging, allowing the device to reach 50% charge capacity in just thirty minutes. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

“The Eluga Power is a real landmark for us as it redefines everything a modern smartphone should be,” says Panasonic’s Toshiya Matsumura. “For too long, smartphones have either compromised on looks to embrace new features or dropped functionality in the pursuit of the perfect form. The Eluga Power marks a true turning point – delivering both high performance and high-end style.”

Panasonic confirmed its first NFC smartphone last week. The company also offers a pair of Android NFC tablets in Japan.
