70% of the consumers rated their primary bank as safeguarding their personal information “extremely well” or “very well”, compared to just 29% who said the same for large retailers, 26% for Google or Apple, and 15% for Facebook.

56% of respondents say they believe their primary bank “always” or “mostly” uses personal information in the customer’s best interest, while only 30% believe this is true for large retailers, 27% for Google, 25% for Apple and 19% for Facebook.

The survey also found that 25% of US consumers with a mobile device are now aware of the concept of a digital wallet, with the highest awareness levels being recorded among consumers aged between 26 and 44, where levels exceed 30%.
