Inside Secure

NFC and contactless chip specialist Inside Secure, which floated on the NYSE Euronext Paris exchange in February, has announced revenues of US$34m for the first quarter of 2012, down 12% on sales during the same period in 2011.

NFC sales saw “significant growth relative to 2011”, with revenues of $14.3 million generated mainly from RIM and its original design manufacturers. NFC income was down on the fourth quarter of 2011, however, when revenues were “particularly boosted” by the international launch of a number of new BlackBerry smartphones with NFC functionality.
