A public authority consortium led by Docapost BPO, a division of France’s postal service La Poste, is to equip caregivers with NFC phones for use when making home care visits.

The Confiance e-health project aims to improve the management of home care and services provided to the dependent living at home, in particular the elderly. Recipients of home care will be issued with an NFC compatible ID card and caregivers will use their phones to read the cards to provide real-time information on visits made.

Inside Secure has been selected to provide security expertise and NFC application development for the project, which also includes social welfare association Abrapa.
