Meizu announces MX3 smartphone with NFC

Meizu MX3

Chinese phone maker Meizu has announced its first smartphone with NFC. The Meizu MX3 has a 5.1-inch 1800 by 1080 display and runs Flyme 3.0, the phone maker’s customised version of Android 4.2.

The MX3 has an eight core Exynos 5 chipset at its heart, and features a Sony-made 8MP main camera with f/2.0 lens and a 2MP front facing camera.

A 2,400mAh battery, again from Sony, provides up to nine hours of 3G browsing and versions of the MX3 will be available with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of memory — though the bottom of the range 16GB model, which retails at Yuan 2,499 (approx US$410), does not have NFC.
