CAPTIVE AUDIENCE: Diners can tap their table with an NFC phone to see a movie trailer

Marvel Studios’ latest blockbuster has been promoted in France via NFC posters placed below the surface of glass-topped dining tables in participating cafes and restaurants.

Diners who tapped an NFC phone to any of the 5,000 posters could download a mobile app to enter a competition to win free tickets to Thor: The Dark World, see the film’s trailer and share an update on Facebook or Twitter.

The campaign was delivered by Insert using its recently acquired Mediatables out-of-home advertising network.
