“Jetco is working with Taiwan’s Trade-Van and Macau’s MTel to deliver cross-border NFC payments and is to also make use of OTI’s Wave add-on NFC device, which is certified by MasterCard and by Visa.

“The Gemalto TSM solution will support “secure elements in various form factors” and, says Gemalto’s Suzanne Tong-Li, “will allow Jetco to play the role of trusted third party for NFC deployment and collaborate with all of Hong-Kong’s mobile operators in a secure manner”.

“A great advantage of the Gemalto TSM’s flexible nature is that it will allow our member banks to leverage multiple payment standards,” says John Tsang, deputy general manager of Jetco.
