Orange Cash goes live in France

Orange Cash

Orange Cash, the prepaid NFC payments service announced by Orange and Visa in November 2013, is now live in the French cities of Strasbourg and Caen.

The launch is being supported with a credit of €10 for customers who activate an account before 30 June. Users who spend a total of €100 using Orange Cash will also receive a further credit of €25.

Exclusive offers from “a number of popular French retailers” will also be available to Orange Cash customers.

“These retailers can be located by using the application’s GPS function,” the partners say. “Once the customer has activated the service through the Orange Cash app, the retailers will then share special offers and promotions available at their shops.”
