    Boots delivers personalised offers to shoppers via new mobile app


    UK pharmacy and retail chain Boots has launched a new mobile app that tailors offers to a customer’s shopping habits. Customers will be able to browse through special deals, select their favourites and then redeem them in-store using their existing Boots Advantage Card.

    The My Offers feature of the app is regularly refreshed, the retailer says, and has a selection of personalised offers. Customers can also use a barcode scanner feature in the Boots app to find out more about a product while in a store, such as product details, customer ratings and reviews on the Boots website.

    A video shows how shoppers can use the app to link offers to their customer loyalty card:

    “We know our customers love to receive personalised offers on the products they use the most and 87% of our customers use the coupons they receive in their quarterly mailings,” says Ruth Spencer, director of loyalty and multichannel at Boots UK.

    “However, over a third of customers tell us they regularly forget to put paper coupons in their purse and can miss out on the best offers for them.

    “The Boots app makes that a thing of the past, ensuring our customers always have access to the offers they want the most, when they want them. Customers now have the flexibility to choose a offer while they are in the queue and it will be ready and waiting on their Boots Advantage Card by the time they get to the till.”
