Samsung is to require companies that manufacture accessories for the forthcoming Galaxy S6 mobile phone to include NFC-enabled authentication chips in their products, according to DDaily.

“The chips will be used in phone cases like flip covers at first,” the report says. “It will also supply the chips to the companies that want to produce accessories for the phone.”

The Galaxy S6 as well as a Samsung Pay service to rival Apple Pay is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress on March 1.
