Suretap adds Points loyalty cards to NFC mobile wallet

Canadian mobile wallet provider Suretap has added a loyalty section powered by the Points loyalty network to its NFC mobile wallet, enabling users to earn and use rewards offered by more than 100 global reward programs via their mobile phone.

Rogers Suretap“The Suretap mobile wallet is all about making it easier, safer and more rewarding for Canadians to transact — including getting more out of their relationships with local brands and retailers,” says Jeppe Dorff, Suretap president.

“By leveraging Points’ loyalty platform in our wallet technology, we’re improving the payment experience for millions of Canadians and providing banks and merchants a more robust way to engage with their customers.”

Suretap launched as an independent company in June 2015 with support from four Canadian carriers. It was initially introduced in November 2012 by mobile network operator Rogers in partnership with Canadian bank CIBC.
