The Alcatel One Touch 996 is a mid-range Android NFC smartphone.

The handset is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 processor and sports a 4.3-inch WVGA 480 by 800 pixel capacitive touch screen. The 996 runs Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3.5.

A 5MP rear camera offers 720p HD video recording. A version of the phone that does not have NFC is known as the Alcatel One Touch 995.
