    Infineon gains support for DCLB

    Ten device manufacturers are now using Infineon‘s Digital Contactless Bridge (DCLB) interface to enable a fast and secure connection between an embedded secure element and an NFC modem, the chip maker reports.     Infineon releases NFC SDK in US

    Chip maker Infineon Technologies is now offering an application developer kit for Type 2 NFC tags in the US. The US$99 kit includes SLE66R01 series NFC tags in two form factors and an SLE66R32 contactless card, as well as programming information and application notes. The tags come with up to 2kbytes of usable memory.

    Transport ticketing alliance debuts ‘Cipurse’ open alternative to Mifare

    The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT) Alliance is proposing a new open ticketing standard to be called Cipurse that will “enable technology suppliers to develop and deliver interoperable transit fare collection solutions for cards, stickers, fobs, NFC mobile phones and other consumer devices.” Singapore’s Land Transport Authority is the first to agree to adopt the new standard. More
