    Mumbai airport launches augmented reality and BLE beacon app

    Passengers at Mumbai’s GVK Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) can now navigate through Terminal 2 using a mobile app and interactive maps based on augmented reality and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons. “The app works on an innovative platform developed on the combination of Indoor Atlas and iBeacon technologies that creates magnetically modelled maps and provides location-based information,” CSIA says.

    LivQuick raises $1.6m for mobile wallet

    Mumbai-based LivQuik, the company behind mobile payment service QuikWallet, has raised US$1.6m from existing investor Snow Leopard Ventures to scale its team, technology and merchant base. “Payment options include SMS, NFC, QR codes, mobile applications and POS software,” IndianWeb2 reports. “Currently, it caters to 1,000 merchants. It has around 100,000 users.”
