    The latest version of Lenovo’s flexible ThinkPad Yoga Windows 8 ultrabook will include NFC. The 12.5-inch device is designed for business users, can be transformed from a laptop into a tablet by simply folding the screen back, and will launch in November starting at US$949.

    Lenovo is planning to bring out a range of ThinkPad tablets or Ultrabooks with NFC payments capabilities later this year. “Processing partnerships are still in the works,” Engadget reports.

    Lenovo debuts ThinkPad Helix

    Lenovo has launched an 11.6-inch Windows 8 Ultrabook with NFC.  The ThinkPad Helix is a multi-use device designed around a “rip and flip” concept that means it can be used with or without its base, as a tablet or a laptop or as a vertical screen for business presentations and movie viewing. NFC is available “on selected models,” says the company.

    Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad Tablet 2 for Windows 8 a 10.1-inch touchscreen device which will come with both NFC and a fingerprint biometrics reader. The tablet PC “will be available when Windows 8 launches in October”.
