Swedish technology consultancy Cybercom has developed an NFC-based mobile wallet solution aimed at enabling mobile payments at parking meters, stores and vending machines. The system is also compatible with WPKI, a two-factor authentication technology being promoted in the Nordic countries.
The mobile wallet solution has been developed by Cybercom in conjunction with “a leading payment solutions provider”, says the company.
“We’re currently investigating how to commercialise the solution together with our potential partners,” says John Persbeck, the project leader at Cybercom. “We’re currently negotiating with several major banks that are interested in our development project. We’re also talking with several companies that are interested in using our solution to facilitate payment for their products.”
