Acer is set to enter the NFC handset market in France with an entry-level device called the E320 Liquid Express — and could be about to NFC-equip all its future Android smartphones.

Reports from France indicate that Acer has shown off its first NFC handset, The E320 Liquid Express.

Looking much like the Taiwanese manufacturer’s Liquid E handset, the new device runs the latest version of Android, 2.3.3, also known as Gingerbread.

As well as NFC, the Acer E320 Liquid Express features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, five megapixel camera with LED flash, Acer’s Social Jogger app which provides easy access to social media, 512MB of RAM and an 800 megahertz Qualcomm processor.

Most interestingly, an unsourced quote on one French Android blog indicates that all future Android smartphones from the company will come with NFC.

NFC World has been in contact with Acer but has so far not been able to reach anyone who can confirm the company’s intentions.
