OTI adds NFC to standard phones with Copni Wave plug-in

On Track Innovations (OTI) has announced a new device that adds NFC functionality to standard mobile phones, via the headphone jack.

Users can still listen to music while the new Copni Wave is plugged in, says OTI, as headphones can be daisy chained through the NFC add-on.

“There is a wide gap between the businesses who want to empower their customers with mobile payment options and the technology that mobile device manufacturers are offering,” says Oded Bashan, chairman and CEO of OTI. “With Copni Wave, OTI are continuing to close that gap with a solution that lets people do more with their mobile devices.”
