Christopher Brown
NEW EDITOR: Christopher joins NFC World from BBC News Online

Christopher joins NFC World straight from BBC News Online, where he was a senior broadcast journalist, bringing with him a wealth of journalism experience and know-how from the highest level of the media industry.

He has previously been an assistant editor at The Independent newspaper in London, as well as deputy chief sub-editor at the Western Daily Press.

As founder and former editor of Bristol24-7 — the independent online newspaper which twice won South West Regional Website of the Year awards and was runner-up in the UK’s national Online Media Awards for best regional online newspaper — he helped to pioneer online journalism and a sustainable business model for the news media.

He is also well-known to the NFC World team, having worked with us on two previous occasions as a news reporter and a sub-editor.

“Joining the NFC World team as editor, charged with developing an already successful independent publication, is a challenge and an honour,” says Christopher.

“NFC World has already shown over many years how its dedication to high-quality journalism and its innovative business model work together to create a strong, global publication that is in a fantastic position to grow with the needs of our audience.

“I am looking forward to meeting the many commercial partners who support NFC World and working with them to develop their businesses, as well as outlining our ambitious plans for the future.”
