Crédit Agricole expands HCE payments to Visa cardholders

PARTNER NEWS: Crédit Agricole has added support for Visa cards to its HCE mobile payments service, enabling both Mastercard and Visa cardholders to make use of its Ma Carte application and Paylib, the French interbank payment brand, for the first time. The bank’s mobile payment service is based on Dejamobile’s ReadyToTap Payment solution.

Dejamobile“Crédit Agricole is the first bank in France to offer a mobile payment service based on HCE and covering both Visa and Mastercard cards,” Dejamobile says.

Crédit Agricole’s mobile payments service has been live for Mastercard users since April 2017, within the bank’s Ma Carte App and under the Paylib brand. Customers can use the service to make payments both in stores and online at merchants that accept Paylib.

“We use Dejamobile’s mobile payment solution which is multi-scheme certified (CB, Mastercard, Visa) and which meets high standards of transaction security,” says Luc Laffon, head of mobile payment services at Crédit Agricole Payment Services.

“Dejamobile was one of the first editors to propose an operational solution for a pilot with Mastercard as early as Q4 2015. Since then, and following the success of the pilot, Crédit Agricole has integrated Dejamobile’s SDK into the bank’s existing application ‘Ma Carte’ and has also integrated the server-side applications into our internal payment service infrastructure.

“Crédit Agricole Payment Services teams rely on the strong support from Dejamobile’s technical teams to operate and maintain the service. Our mobile payment service is fully operational since April 2017 and the adoption rate by our customers meets our expectations.”
