STMicroelectronics to add Mifare functionality to new range of NFC SIMs

STMicroelectronics and NXP have signed a licensing deal that will see STMicroelectronics integrating the entire Mifare family into its security solutions for mobile phone and banking applications. Belgian start-up Getyoo has launched in beta a web-based platform designed to enable people to gather all their contacts and social activity in one place. Getyoo is designed to be used with ‘Clickeys’, NFC-enabled devices that allow users to exchange information with people, objects or things in the real world and then easily upload the information they have gathered to the internet. More

G&D launches MasterCard mobile payments sticker

Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has launched Convego Air Mobile, a contactless payment sticker conforming to the MasterCard PayPass contactless card standard. On receiving a sticker from their bank, consumers simply affix their Convego sticker to their phone or PDA and can then use it to make payments at any PayPass accepting merchant. More

MasterCard certifies Venyon’s TSM service
