Mobile network operator China Mobile is using Fime’s EMV contactless analogue test bench for product testing. Fime will also provide consultancy services and carry out pre-certification handset testing. NFC testing equipment from Micropross is also being used by China Mobile.

China Mobile has chosen Micropross’ Contactless Test Station to test NFC devices for compliance with NFC Forum requirements. The tool will be used at the mobile network operator’s own laboratories, where it tests all devices submitted by vendors before they are shipped to retail stores.

China-based smartphone maker Xiaomi has chosen Micropross test equipment to validate the NFC interfaces in its future products. “Micropross’ expertise in the field of contactless interface testing is very famous on the market,” says Xiaomi’s Xisohui Pi.

Smartphone manufacturer ZTE is now using Micropross test equipment for internal pre-certification of its NFC-enabled devices, to ensure they meet EMVCo L1 requirements.

NXP is using Micropross’s Contactless Test Station for its EMVCo level one testing. The chip maker chose the all-in-one test equipment because of its EMVCo, NFC Forum and ISO testing capabilities as well as “its superior level of automation and its unique validated status,” says NXP.

The NFC Forum has approved NFC and RFID test equipment supplier Micropross’ NFC Forum digital test tool. The tool will be deployed in certification and testing centres, says MicroPross, allowing NFC device and chip manufacturers to ensure their products meet NFC Forum specifications.

Ten device manufacturers are now using Infineon‘s Digital Contactless Bridge (DCLB) interface to enable a fast and secure connection between an embedded secure element and an NFC modem, the chip maker reports. Licensees include Texas Instruments, Inside Secure, MicroPross, MtekVision, Crocus Technology and Keolabs.

Chip maker Renesas has chosen Micropross to supply it with EMVCo and NFC Forum compliant test equipment. “We have a long time experience in the usage of Micropross solutions,” says Renesas’ Takashi Tsukamoto. “We have always been satisfied of those tools, from both a quality and support point of view, and it was natural to continue with Micropross for the validation of our NFC related products.”
