Porsche and BlackBerry launch $2,350 luxury NFC phone

The Porsche Design P'9982 from BlackBerry

Porsche Design has redesigned BlackBerry’s Z10 NFC smartphone with a sleeker shell and leather rear cover to create the US$2,350 P’9982.

Inside, the handset is the same as the Z10 but offers 64GB of internal storage instead of 16GB and can handle larger 64GB microSD cards. A tweaked version of the BlackBerry 10 operating system offers additional Porsche styling flourishes.

The luxury device’s worldwide retail launch is at London department store Harrods today.
