Screenshots of the Apple Pay setup screen within the new Passbook app in the second iOS 8.1 beta have been published on MacRumours. “The setup prompt within Passbook is similar to the setup prompt to add passes,” the publication says, “educating potential users on what the service is before providing a link to where users can input and scan their credit cards for use.”

Apple posts PassKit payments dev guide

Apple has posted a guide to iOS 8.0’s new Apple Pay mobile payment features in its developer library. “The PassKit framework adds support for payment passes and payment requests,” says the company. “Payment passes are added to Passbook by payment networks, such as credit card issuers and banks, and let the user select their account on that payment network to fund payments.”
