Supermarket chain Coop Denmark is launching a new mobile loyalty and rewards platform incorporating mobile payment functionality in all of its stores from October. The service will enable customers in Irma, Kvickly, Brugsen and KNB locations to scan items with their phone as they shop and pay at the point of sale using software provided by Omnico. More

Apple has confirmed that its new flagship smartphones — the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus — and the second generation Apple Watch will be equipped with Sony FeliCa NFC technology. PayPal extends NFC acceptance in US via Mastercard


US consumers will soon be able to make NFC mobile payments using PayPal at the point of sale wherever Mastercard is accepted. The strategic partnership between the two companies will also enable Masterpass as an option for merchants employing the PayPal-owned Braintree payment platform. More
