The Vertu Constellation is this highest-of-high-end phone maker’s second NFC device. The titanium, sapphire crystal and calf leather confection runs Android and retails at €4,900.
The Constellation runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core 1.7 GHz CPU. The device offers 32GB of internal memory, a 13MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording, a front-facing Skype-compliant 1.3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.
“Constellation also features a portfolio of melodic ringtones especially composed for Vertu and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra,” says the company.
Each phone is handmade by a single craftsman at the company’s factory in Hampshire, England.
The Vertu Constellation was announced in early October 2013 and is available for pre-order in a range of five colours, from €4,900.
